Karunanidhi's fast: interesting political situation

So, Karunanidhi has threatened to go on a fast if the warring police and lawyers of the state do not stop the vandalism both the parties are causing.

Given his age and his current medical condition, his fast, I speculate could result in a very peculiar condition, which I am very much wanting to see, that too with elections in the offing (please read between the lines).
