Prime Minister Manmohan Singh speaking on the lines of the Iftar dinner hosted by him spoke to the media and admitted that flow of information from the government side, particularly on the issue of the Chinese incursions onto Indian territory, has been inadequate.
He also said that the incursions were not as significant as was being reported in sections of the media.
What he did not realise is that there has been a sense of outrage expressed by different sections of the society on what seemed like government silence and inaction on the issue. Particularly incensing was the fact that some of the incursions had occurred more than a month ago.
This has led to a series of reports and analyses in various sections of the media on what was called the Chinese's attempt to take on India at different points along the border.
While Dr.Singh had the courage to admit, he should also at the same time be ashamed of the lack of a proper response from the government even after the reports appeared in the media.
