COBRA force strikes maoists

In a significant operation against the maoists in Chattisgarh the COBRA force (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) launched an assault on a maoist base and killed 30 naxalites, the Hindustan times reports.

It is also reported that the force and the Chattisgarh police together lost 5 brave personnel in the operation.

In the recent times the government has moved more forces into the region to tackle the menace. This is one significant victory on its pursuit.
