On the heels of the Rs. 500 crore that was set aside in the union budget as an aid to Sri Lanka, government has today announced that it is ready to give yet another round of funds to the island nation 'if there is a need'.
This was announced by the Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram who said Rs. 500 crore aid is available for the resettlement and the rehabilitation process of the internally displaced Tamils in Sri Lanka.
With this the total aid sums upto $ 200 million after the war was over.
