British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has thrown a Diwali reception at this 10 Downing street residence 'amid chanting of Vedic prayers'.
He thanked the British Indian community for its contribution to the culture and the economy of the nation. Thats some praise our fellas in the UK have got.
Elsewhere boys of our community have been in the headlines of the day. This time though for their contribution to an 'economic' fraud. (Excuse the metaphor). Three men of Desi origin have been arrested for their part in an insider trading scam that was unearthed yesterday. Apparently the biggest fish of the three, Rajaratnam, is a billionaire and the scam in question involved $20 million.
Something seriously wrong either with the case or with the man.
